I discovered gansu after marrying a person from Hiroshima Prefecture. I usually buy it at the Souvenirs shop in Hiroshima Station, but I wanted to try different kinds of gansu, so I went to Sakaiya.
I ordered it right away because I could eat it freshly fried!
The hot, crispy batter and the chewy texture of the fish paste were absolutely delicious, completely different from the chilled version I'd warmed up at home.
The cheese version was delicious, but the standard fried gansu was easy to eat and popular with kids.
