shopSmall Restaurant Nagayama
I eat an onigiri (rice ball) to get energized and get back to work. Whenever I need that, I always come here. I'm happy that I can choose my own onigiri fillings and miso soup. It's a moment that makes me feel truly Japanese.

Everything is delicious and made with care. From simple dishes that allow you to enjoy the ingredients to creative dishes born from travels abroad, the menu is filled with dishes that will make you say, "I want to eat this!" The restaurant has an unpretentious atmosphere, but it's also at the cutting edge of fashion.

shopCafe KAZE
I love the lunchtime menu, which allows me to enjoy a generous serving of vegetables. It's a joy to share a table full of food with my family, starting with "My World's Best Salad," made with herbs from Kajitani Farm and grilled chicken thighs, followed by potage soup with plenty of vegetables, baguette sandwiches, and desserts brimming with fruit. Even during cafe time, the cafe's appeal lies in its selection of coffee from a coffee roaster in Hiroshima and bread from popular bakeries. The terrace seating, with its open atmosphere facing nature, is comfortable and relaxing. After meals, it's become a regular experience to look at art or take a walk in the park.

With a focus on dashi (broth), this restaurant offers a unique and unparalleled taste using dashi unique to Hiroshima. While their unusual seasonal vegetables are popular, the miso oden and the owner's carefully selected sake are also major draws. Of course, you can also enjoy local Hiroshima sake alongside the oden.

shopRaku, a specialty restaurant for soupless tantanmen noodles, Koamicho branch
My favorite restaurant is "Raku" Koamicho branch, a specialty shop for soupless tantanmen, located in Koamicho, Naka Ward! Soupless tantanmen is practically a soul food of Hiroshima, and Raku's soupless tantanmen is truly delicious, but there's a ramen dish here that I'm currently obsessed with. It's called "Raku Jiro" 🍜 Yes! Some of you may have already guessed from the name. That's right, "Raku Jiro" is a Jiro-style ramen. A punchy soup that's addictive and thick noodles with a great chewiness! Once you try it, will you be able to forget this taste?? Be sure to try Raku's "soupless tantanmen" and "Raku Jiro".

Surrounded by nature, the air feels wonderful. The gelato here is exceptional. It's one of my favorite places to enjoy dairy products made by Sagotani Farm, a name known to everyone in Hiroshima.

They have a variety of ramen dishes you won't find anywhere else, so you can enjoy it no matter how many times you go. The broth is mild, so you can gulp it down as a finishing touch after a night out drinking. Kids love it too!

shopYakiniku Ma-chan
This is a yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) restaurant in my neighborhood that I've been going to since I was a child. I love it so much that I even get takeout from them when I'm camping and can't go to the restaurant due to COVID-19! Their kalbi (short ribs) marinated in their secret sauce are delicious, of course, but their tongue and ramen are also fantastic! But my favorite is the pig's ear. I still remember how delicious it was the first time I ate pig's ear! They always welcome me with a warm, homey atmosphere, and it always makes me feel good, both in my stomach and my heart!

shopKoharu Cafe
The recommended menu item is the Keema Curry! It's addictive. They are famous for their shaved ice and cream zenzai, but their homemade cakes are also delicious! The shop has a retro, local feel, and the owner's sense of style, who loves mountain climbing, shines through.
