Three judges tasted and scored the dishes prepared by each team. The winners of the red and white teams were decided based on the points from previous SNS Oshikatsu Battles.

In the end, the Red team won by a narrow margin, but after the match, the atmosphere was one of finals, and the venue was filled with excitement, with both teams in attendance.

The participants served the dishes they had prepared at the venue to the judges, and gave passionate presentations for each red and white match. They had to convey the appeal of their dishes and ingredients as best they could within the one-minute time limit.

The judges (from left: Governor Yuzaki, Mr. Sakai, and Mr. Kitaoka) also tasted the dishes seriously and gave their comments in response to the presentations.
(Excerpts from comments below)
Governor: It was a delicious competition that made the most of the appeal of local ingredients.
(Comments from the sake companion contest)
Sakai: It had a wonderful balance of flavors, and was seasoned as if they knew my preferences.
(Comments from the food competition)
Chef Kitaoka: It was a simple dish, but one that was packed with skill. The flavor of the ingredients was really brought out, and it was a delicious dish.
(Comments from the Setouchi Fish Recommendation Contest)

Finally, Mr. Sakai stated, "The important thing is not the outcome of the event, but having the opportunity to promote the appeal of food from each region through these events. I hope you will continue to work hard in the future."

After the event ended, all the participants tasted the recommended foods that each brought and exchanged opinions, which seemed to deepen the exchange between the regions. The participants of the entry teams commented that it was a valuable experience that they would not normally have, and that the comments from the judges were a great realization and encouragement, and it seemed to be meaningful for the future launch of the appeal of local food.

FooDrinpic is scheduled to be held again in the spring, with entries being accepted from each city and town. At the end of the fiscal year, we plan to compile the products that participated in these competitions into a tool that can be used to promote Hiroshima's new "recommended food." Please keep an eye on our future activities.
